Queenstown
Queenstown is situated on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and overlooks the majestic
Remarkable mountain range. Lake Wakatipu is over 378 metres deep and 82 km in length.
The lake rises and falls by 12cm every five minutes. The Remarkables were named
because they are the one and only mountain range in the World that run truly North-South.
Queenstown has two major ski fields; Coronet and Remarkables a short drive away.
Glenorchy
Glenorchy is a stunning 45 minute drive from Queenstown and sits on the Mount Aspiring
National Park. Tracks such as Routeburn, Greenstone, Caples, Rees and Dart Valley
are popular within the National Park.
Wanaka
Wanaka is situated on the shores of Lake Wanaka and surrounded by snow capped mountains
making the area a popular retreat for holiday makers. Wanaka has Treble Cone and
Cardrona ski fields close by.
Cardrona
Cardrona, the historic township is on the Wanaka side of the Crown Range. The renowned
Cardrona Pub and ski fields of Cardrona and Snow Farm are well worth visiting if
you are in this area.
