Christchurch is the largest city on the south island, it is located on the Canterbury
plains.
The city is now over 46,000 hectares in size, with a population of about 310,000.
The center of city's streets are in a very geometric grid layout, with Avon and
Heathcote Rivers natural spring-fed waters flowing within them.
Christchurch has been knowen as the Garden City since early this century, the city
strongly embraces this title having incorporated into its logo. With the Christchurch
Cathedral accompanyed with the green parks, rivers and blue sky.
